It was back in 2015, when members David Anderson (the Shillelaghs) and Matt Shannon (from now defunct Calgary folk/punk band Workhorse) got together to jam and down a few beers with Dusty Hopfauf (of The Five String Revolution). The rendezvous conjured up such amazing powerful punk/folk tunes that they it only made sense to form the band “walkalone”. Since their alliance, they have been rocking the Calgary live music venue circuit. ‘walkalone’ sing songs about cars, anthems about drinking and ditties about carrying on. Their sound stems from their musical influences Bad Religion, Blink 182, Rancid, Frank Turner, NOFX, Roughneck, Bitterweed, Knucklehead and the Browns. They are currently in the studio recording their debut album and they will be touring across Canada in 2017.
