A brand new music festival taking place on International Avenue. This festival is a collaboration between the International Avenue BRZ and the Major Minor Music Project. It was conceived with the intention of exposing Calgary music lovers to all that International Avenue and East Calgary have to offer.
Inspired by the thriving Calgary independent music scene, major festivals like SXSW, and the excitement of International Avenue, East Town Get Down will meld location and performance into an immersive event.
Taking place on a six-block length of 17th Ave SE, and featuring intimate,convivial venues, unique food and drink, and a range of Calgary performers to suit all musical tastes, East Town Get Down is going to shake up the festival landscape in Calgary, kicking off the summer season with an international flare.
